In short: WalletMatik is a personal finance app. All financial data you enter is stored only on your own device. No account is required; we do not send your data to us or to third parties, we do not show ads, we do not track your behavior and we do not sell your data.
1. Data controller and contact
This app is published by an independent developer (Mech App Studio). For privacy questions: admin@mechappstudio.com
2. What data do we process?
While using the app, you enter the following information and it is kept in a local database on your device:
- Income/expense transactions, accounts and balances, credit card/installment details, categories, tags, budgets, subscriptions, reminders;
- Savings (gold, foreign currency, term deposits), goals, debts/receivables, holiday plans, habit and shopping records;
- Product/receipt records and (if you choose) photos of receipts you scan;
- App preferences (theme, language, currency, notification settings) and system logs.
None of this data is sent to our servers, because we have no server. We do not collect accounts, names, email addresses, phone numbers, location or advertising IDs.
3. Features that use the internet
The app connects to the internet only for the optional features below. None of your financial data is sent in these requests; by the nature of the connection, only your IP address and device information (e.g. client information) may be visible to the provider.

These providers' own privacy policies apply. The core features of the app keep working without an internet connection.
4. Device permissions
- Camera: only to scan receipts. Text recognition (OCR) runs on the device; images are never sent out. Photos are picked with the system's own picker; no broad access to your gallery is requested.
- Notifications: for reminder, subscription, payment and budget alerts.
- Exact alarms: so reminders go off at the time you choose.
- Biometric authentication / PIN: for the app lock. Fingerprint/face data is never given to the app; it is handled by the operating system. The PIN is stored on your device as a one-way hash and cannot be recovered.
- Internet: only for the features in section 3.
5. Backup and export
Backup (JSON) and export (Excel/CSV) files are created only when you ask, in the Downloads/WalletMatik folder on your device or a folder you choose. These files are under your control; if you share a file with others, the financial information in it is shared too. Android automatic cloud backup is disabled for this app.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you uninstall the app or use Settings → Delete all data. Uninstalling the app deletes the app data; backup/export files you created remain in the Downloads folder and you can delete them yourself.
7. Security
Data is stored in the app's private storage on the device (isolated from other apps); an optional PIN/biometric lock and a "hide amounts" mode are available. We recommend using your device's screen lock and keeping your backup files in a safe place. No system is completely risk-free.
8. Third parties and sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, sell it, or use it for advertising or analytics. The app contains no advertising or tracking (analytics) libraries.
9. Children's privacy
The app is intended for general use and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Disclaimer
WalletMatik is a record-keeping and tracking tool; it does not provide investment, tax or financial advice. Gold/currency prices are for information only and may be delayed or inaccurate.
11. Your rights (GDPR, KVKK and related laws)
Because your data is only on your device, you can exercise your rights to access, correct and delete it directly in the app. For any data that reaches us (for example support requests you send by email), write to admin@mechappstudio.com.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated; the current version is always published on this page and the date is shown at the top. We will mention significant changes in the app's release notes.
